Challenge

In 2013, Limestone College launched a new scholarship program designed to recruit more women students. Clark Communications was tasked with helping promote the new McMillian Scholarship to increase female enrollment. The McMillian scholarship, valued at over $32,000 for 4 years, is a great incentive for increasing female enrollment. The challenge was to create a scholarship search campaign that targeted eligible female high school students and promoted Limestone College’s unique program offerings.

Solution

Clark worked with Limestone’s enrollment and admissions professionals to create a targeted search campaign that used variable-data technology to create a personalized microsite, email and print campaign that drove engagement and interest in applying to both Limestone College and the scholarship program. Clark’s integrated campaign featured a personalized website URL that asked them to answer a playful personality question and then directed them to a customized web page featuring relevant academic and campus programs. This automated campaign included real-time lead notification, follow-up inquiry push emails for both responders and non-responders, and a personalized print poster with another call to action for those who completed the online interest survey.

Result

Limestone College has experienced a 52% increase in female students within the first year of the campaign.
